It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of the President of the Auburn Bay Community Association, Carla Obuck.
Carla was one of the founding members of the CA and spent years volunteering with the Resident’s Association as well. Her steadfast love for Auburn Bay and dedication for building community has helped shape some of the incredible events and initiatives around Auburn Bay. Carla was one of the proponents for the Community Gardens, Stampede Breakfast, and Parade of Lights, among other Auburn Bay favourites. There were many years that her leadership and passion for these events were the only reason they happened and we will continue to strive to keep these events going in her honour. She will be immensely missed.
We send our thoughts and prayers to her husband, Darrel, and their two children, Alexandrea (Alex) and Matthew.
