Auburn Bay Parade of Lights – THANK YOU

We would like to take some time to extend some gratitude to the people who helped deliver the 2021 Parade of Lights, including the many volunteers and sponsors that stepped up to help support this event.

Thanks to our collective efforts, the two elves riding with Santa counted just over 6,000 people along the parade route.

Thank you to all the Parade Marshals that stepped forward, as this event truly can not happen without you. The City permit requires that we have a specific number of volunteers otherwise we will not qualify for future events. To the parade float entries, thank you for donating your time and efforts to create a holiday memory for all the spectators.

To our hot chocolate stations, thank you for being there and helping provide some holiday cheer while everyone awaited the parade. To our student volunteers who walked the parade route selling LED items, thank you for helping us raise $450 for future events. And their leader Madeeha U., for being our first aid riding in the parade. They all had to travel across the city to help us in this event.

To all the volunteers that helped in the parking lot: Leanna M., Rob W., our new city Councilor Evan S. and his staff Sarah F. thank you for being there to help get everyone organized. And to the big guy of the night “Santa”, for taking time from your holiday preparations at the North Pole. We owe you a special Thank You from all the little spectators.

And to you, our amazing community thank you for coming out to enjoy this event, we hope we made your night special. Happy Holidays to you all! Of course I forgot to mention a Huge Shout out to our Wonderful Residents Association / Auburn House for the use of their parking lot and gator / driver to be our first aid.
